Biography:
Nicole Matthews began at Clackamas Community College where she earned her Associates Degree, then she attended the University of Oregon for 3 years where she earned a Bachelors in Molecular Biology with a Chemistry Minor. She finished at Portland State University with a Masters in Education. She teaches a combination of Freshman Global Science and Sophomore Biology. She has been a teacher here at MHS since 2000. In 2000 and 2001 she coached JV Volleyball team and 2000-2003 she coached the Varsity Softball team. She enjoys to spend time with my daughter, Isabel who is eight months old, walk her dog, visit the beach and watch movies. Her hobbies include playing softball and volleyball. She was born here in the Portland area. On what she enjoys most about MHS she said "Being a Putnam graduate I was a bit surprised that I ended up at Milwaukie High. I always had an image about Milwaukie High students and everyday I have several that dispel that image. Students don't take their education or teachers for granted at MHS. I have students in daily trying to improve their grades or understand a new concept. The students at MHS continue to impress me."
