Course Description:
You will learn: about atomic theory; atomic structure; chemical bonding; nuclear chemistry; gases, liquids and solids; solutions; reaction types; stoichiometry; equilibrium; descriptive chemistry; kinetics and thermodynamics as well as technological applications of chemicals in the real world. You will gain a hands on working knowledge of chemistry in the world, though a variety of laboratory experiments designed to provide contextual applications of chemical concepts. You will learn to; use scientific inquiry in the laboratory, the classroom, and in real life activities to improve critical thinking skills, and to use a variety of equipment and technological applications to gain a conceptual understanding of chemical concepts.
